Washington Post, December 13, 2006: Protests to delay US base move in South Korea
SEOUL (Reuters) - Violent protests staged against the U.S. military presence in South Korea are likely to delay a major realignment of U.S. bases in the country, including the closure of a base in Seoul, the defense ministry said on Wednesday.

Dear fellow comrades,
i been following the Daechuri villagers and peoples movement for some time since i have met some of my young activist friends in Seoul when they were supporting the immigrant tent village in Myondong some years ago.
unfortunately, i am unable to be connected to any koean people when i moved to Atlanta, GA even though there is a large koean community exists. Do you know any one here in ATLANTA who wants to organize campaigns/events on the issues to the concerned people in the city? Daechuri is a very good story for all to understand the farmers struggle and the military base there and in Asia.
